How we intend to evaluate automotive-key providers
Dayton Car Key Help is being built as a consumer-help and referral resource. A business will not become “trusted” merely by paying for leads. Participation should depend on evidence and ongoing conduct.
Initial verification

| Registration | Relevant business and tax registrations; precise credential language without implying a nonexistent universal certification. |
| Insurance | Evidence of appropriate coverage where applicable to the work offered. |
| Automotive capability | Demonstrated experience with key cutting, fob/transponder programming and clear vehicle-compatibility limits. |
| Pricing conduct | Dispatch fees and expected totals explained before travel; no obvious bait-and-switch pattern. |
| Reputation | Legitimate review history considered alongside complaint patterns and business responses. |
Job-specific confirmation still matters
General approval would not mean a provider supports every make, model, year or all-keys-lost procedure. Each request should still be checked for equipment, parts, availability and location.
Ongoing accountability
Consumer feedback, unresolved complaints, deceptive pricing or repeated capability failures can lead to pausing or ending referrals. Compensation will not override the standards.
